Communication is of the utmost importance and is the key to working together in our virtual relationship. As your assistant, I will be listening to what your needs are in order to be efficient and effective. The more open and straightforward we are about the work and our expectations, the easier it will be to move forward and accomplish our goals.
Once we decide to work together, we will discuss using a prioritized “To-Do” list which will include deadlines and any necessary details. If you do not already have a list, as you go about your day at work (or home), ask yourself if any task is one you can let go. Most likely, the answer is yes. The list may also include tasks you may not want to delegate right away, just so we have an idea of what you want to accomplish in the future.
My personal and professional standards include respect, honesty, trust, confidentiality, accountability and communication. When we both maintain these core standards, I believe everything else comes together easily and naturally.
